The Purpose and Overview Of This Site

Small business owners have always fascinated me.  This is probably because I was raised in a family that was only ever self employed. My parents never had a “job”. It's unfortunate that most people will never know or truly understand what a small business owner goes through with running their business.  The small business owner is really a hero for our community.

Anyway, that is the purpose of this blog. I wanted a way to say thanks and show the world that I care about local small businesses.  Of course the business owners have no idea that I am do anything like this for them. I am not looking for anything in return for this so why would I tell them. Eventually they will find out when someone tells them about it.  They say a referral is the highest form of compliemnt for a small business owner. This blog is a way to give them that compliment by referring you to them.  

One of my goals is to stuff this blog full of posts about the wonderful products and services I have gotten from awesome local businesses. . This blog is really a win-win-win. The business owner gets some free publicity, you the consumer gets insight into who you should be working with and I get the satisfaction of helping promote a small business that deserves it.  You know what would be really cool? If you started your own blog about local businesses.
